Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday so I just wanted to take a second and tell her Happy Birthday! (I have been trying unsuccessfully to upload pictures to blogger) One thing that I love about my mom is that she is always willing to drop everything to help you if you really need it. Jake and I stayed with her for a couple of days after Sophia was born. We slept downstairs and she slept upstairs with Soph and brought her down when she was hungry so we could get in a few decent nights before we were on our own. Another fun memory was right after Jake and I were married and couldn't afford to go anywhere for spring break. We went with my parents on a road trip to Escalante... and they payed for everything! We had such a great time! Another funny memory was the summer we lived with them while we were looking for a house. I was pregnant at the time and we were complaining that we were bored. My mom told us to hop in the car and go "park" somewhere! I love you mom and my children love you, one of Sophia's favorite things to do is go shopping with Grandma Nancy. Thanks for everything you do for us, we hope you have a happy birthday!

linds, you're so cute and thoughtful. i keep forgetting to steal this great "birthday tribute" idea of yours, but i always forget. :(

i'll chime in about our mom too: i can't count how many times i've been sick or exhausted or whatever and she'll drop by and "slick through" the house. she's like a whirlwind and will literally clean your whole house in about 30 minutes or less.

when alan moved here for work, she helped me pack up the house then she flew out here with the kids and i and helped me unpack it all. she did all the legwork on finding renters for us.

my favorite funny mom memory: we were trying to play a trick on her to get her to say "what's up doc" and we said "ewww, is this updock on my food?" instead of saying "what's up doc" she said "who updocked? where?" LOL.

Happy Birthday Nancy! I remember many fun times had at your house and your mom always made sure we had plenty of food to eat. She is such a thoughtful person and always made me feel welcome in your home. Thanks Nanc!

i have not had time for reading blogs, but happy birthday mom! the greatest thing my mom ever did for me was jump on a plane and fly to arizona when we found out addi was on her way, then stay with us when we brought her home and take turns holding her for two hours at a time through the night so will and i could try to get some sleep. we had to hold her 24/7 to keep her warm and it was so great having an extra set of arms to help out. love you mom!

p.s. sis, it's PAID, not payed. haha
