What a mess

So there has been no time to blog this week, we are getting ready for new tenants in the basement and we have been SO busy. First it was a mess down there, so we had to scrub all of the baseboards and walls. Then Jake tiled the kitchen, laundry room and entry. We installed a new light fixture in the kitchen, and had the carpets cleaned. Now we just have to find somewhere to store the washer and dryer since the tenants have their own and wipe everything down again. We also decided to tear up the tile in our bathroom upstairs since Jake has collected enough free travertine to tile the shower, we only had to purchase for the floor. So we are living in a mess in our ONLY bathroom. We can't shower, only bathe, which is interesting for Jake since he hates the tub. We have towels strewn all over the sub-floor so we can walk in there barefoot, and a thick layer of dust from the demo that I still haven't gotten around to cleaning up. We have been so busy and we are both ready to relax, but alas, more work awaits us. At least the basement is mostly done, our new people move in on Saturday. I will be glad for that check :)
